batmanAbout the Blogger

Hi, my name is Jackie, and I am the creator of Books & Tea. I’m twenty-something, and I currently reside in Michigan. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors in English. I studied Japanese and business too. My degree is totally irrelevant to my day job– I’m a bookkeeper. By night, I’m a blogger and superhero. Some of my favorite things include: travel, the Japanese language, photography, video games, sweater-weather, and of course books and tea. The Harry Potter books are my favorite, and I can never have too much peppermint tea.

About Books & Tea

I love books, and I love tea, so I decided to start a blog about these two topics. This blog contains book reviews and tea reviews and discussions on everything in between. I have a preference for young adult novels and non-fiction, but I do explore children’s books, “grown-up” books, and graphic novels from time to time. As for tea– I’m no aficionado. Dare I say it? I’m actually a newb! I never get the temperature quite right, and sometimes I leave my teabag soaking in the tea while I sip. I’m always looking for new teas to experience, and my reviews are never stuffy.

  1. Can I please just say: I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU DO TEA REVIEWS. Seriously, I’m so impressed by that. I’m more of a coffee girl, but I’m getting into tea as well, since one of my friends is slightly obsessed with it and keeps giving it to me for birthdays/Christmas/every single occasion in between. (Like, way to be subtle, right? 😉 ) Hm… perhaps I should hook you guys up…

    1. Thank you!

I’m still a bit of a coffee gal too. Especially since my town has a coffee company that sells packages of coffee beans that have been roasted in the store THAT DAY. So good. But one Christmas (about 8 years ago), I just out of the blue asked for a tea pot. And that was that.
