I finally got around to getting a library card yesterday, or rather replacing one that I didn’t even know I had. It’s a pretty small library, and it’s a bit outdated in what is available for children and young adults, but I’m still eager to look through the book stacks. Soon, I hope to go to the fancy-schmancy library downtown. The downtown library is huge, and it’s in a lovely, old building. I’m sure it will have a larger selection too since it’s the main library.
The librarian was so excited when I asked her if I could check out e-books for my Nook. She was disappointed that she didn’t have a brochure for me, but she told me I can bring my Nook into the library downtown, and they’ll show me exactly how to load up the books.
So, this is my very first In My Mailbox. I don’t have a whole lot, but I’m still eager to share my loot and get busy reading it!
From the library:
- Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl
- The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
- Artimis Fowl: The Eternity Code by Eoin Colfer
And actually in my mailbox (squee!):
- Greyhound by Steffan Piper
My boyfriend wanted me to check out Fantastic Mr. Fox, so I’ve been reading it out loud so we can both enjoy it!
- Jackie
